Businessman Maxim Behar Elected Chair of Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies

The Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies (BAPRA) elected Tuesday the leading Bulgarian public relations expert and businessman, Maxim Behar, as its new chair.

Maxim Behar is the founder, owner, and CEO of the Bulgarian PR agency M3 Communications Group, Inc., which is a member of the Hill & Knowlton associates group, the largest public relations and public affairs company in the world.

During Tuesday's annual general meeting of BAPRA, Behar took over from the outgoing Chair of the Association, Lyubomir Alamanov. The BAPRA members also elected Alexander Durchev from All Channels Communications as Deputy Chair.

"I accept my election to this post as a huge responsibility and a challenge to unite the Bulgarian public relations business even more. There are great professionals working in this field in Bulgaria, and only the accomplishment of our common goals can make the market more favorable for us. That is why, our main task now is to invite all PR companies that meet our standards to join the Association", Behar said as he took over the BAPRA Chair position.

The Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies (BAPRA) was set up in 2001. Its members are Yanev & Yanev, All Channels Communications, AMI Communications, APRA, IntelDay Solutions, MARC Communications, M3 Communications GrouСЂ, Inc., and United Partners.

Maxim Behar is a leader and a veteran of the Bulgarian public relations business. He is the first Bulgarian to become a member of the International PR Association (IPRA), and the only Bulgarian representative at the Public Relations Society of America.

He has also served as the Chair of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum for two terms, and is currently serving on dozens of Bulgarian and foreign boards including the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian branch of the American organization Junior Achievement. Behar is the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria.
