Two Amazing Years for Maxim Behar as President of the International Communications Consultancy Organisation – ICCO
Maxim Behar participated in of the ICCO summit in Helsinki. He was a lecturer at various sessions and took part in discussions on different topics. However, this time the meeting was a little bit more special to him. Not only because each ICCO Summit is a unique opportunity to meet the top managers and practitioners of the world's most influential public relations and communications businesses, to benchmark against others businesses and learn good practice in the communications industry – but also because it was time for Maxim to complet his mandate as President of the World biggest PR Organization – ICCO.
In front of journalists from Standart, he answered the question whether he was happy with these two years as president of the World PR organization - ICCO:
“ I think ICCO made a huge step forward in recent years, of course this will be judged by the members of the organization. I was elected by the Board of Directors, which then included 27 countries, and today ICCO covers 55 countries from all continents. I visited nearly 50 countries, met with the leaders of local PR associations, and lectured in dozens of universities, conferences and forums. I accepted my election as president as a huge recognition for Bulgaria, my colleagues from the Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies, recognition of Bulgarian business at all, and wherever I appeared at international meetings as president of ICCO, I knew very well that I represent Bulgaria . I am proud that today ICCO is one of the most influential, most recognizable, and most professional PR organization in the world and we all - as a president to the Executive Board, we have always acted as a team with clear goals - integrity, professionalism and transparency. “
“The past two years being an ICCO President were one of the most exciting years in my life.”, shared Maxim Behar. “We're great group of professionals and personal friends, uniting and covering 55 countries from all continents and we're proud today to be the most influential and the fastest growing global International PR community. Now it's time to hand over the presidency to a great professional and leader - Elise Smith Mitchell, my Vice President for the past two years and a good friend and partner. Congratulations, dear Elise from the bottom of my heart and sincere wishes for many, many, many successes on the road to developing ICCO as the most influential community of the Global PR business. Thank you for your support over the past two years and no doubt you can rely on mine support and friendship in the future. As I said, ICCO now needs not a driver, but a pilot and I am sure you will be the perfect one.”
Maxim Behar has one more mandate in the Executive Committee of the organization and, of course, from now on he intends to focus primarily on the development of his business at M3 Communications Group, Inc. - one of his "children", as he says.
