Maxim Behar at the Annual Honorary Consuls’ Conference of the Republic of Seychelles 2022

Maxim Behar, a diplomat and a journalist, participated in the Annual Honorary Consuls’ Conference of the Republic of Seychelles 2022. Behar, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria, met with the President, Wavel Ramkalawan, government representatives, as well as consuls from around the world. Together they had the chance to discuss new strategies to strengthen Seychelles' presence on the tourism map.

The main topic of the conference was “Harnessing Opportunities Through Diplomatic Relations”. Maxim Behar actively participated in the conference program, giving a speech to representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Seychelles, as well as delivering a presentation on the activities aimed at promoting the Seychelles as an attractive destination. During the conference were discussed plans to strengthen business and cultural relations between the two countries by promoting tourism. Maxim Behar also met with the Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles H.E. Ahmed Afif, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism - H.E. Sylvestr Radegonde

Behar also joined the initiative of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Family by donating sports equipment for young Seychellois athletes. The honorary consuls of the Republic of Seychelles for Romania, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Slovenia also joined the initiative. Behar donated a complete set of football equipment including balls, shirts, shorts and gloves and bands.
