Maxim Behar contributed to the 11th Annual Charity Ball of BBLF

The Bulgarian PR expert and diplomat Maxim Behar took part as a donor in the Annual Charity Ball, organized by the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF). The event took place on January 30, at Balkan Hotel, Sofia, Bulgaria and brought together more than 100 prominent and socially responsible representatives of the business circles. Official guests of the 11th edition of the gala night were Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova, Mayor of Sofia Municipality and Mrs. Eva Maydell, Member of the European Parliament.

Over 46 000 Bulgarian leva were collected through an auction and lottery in order to support valuable projects in the fields of health protection and education as longterm screening programme for breast cancer prevention, School principals’ leadership academy, the innovatory initiative “The economy of future belong to the educated!” and also the campaign Lokomat for Bulgaria, which has the aim to support the buying of such a robot in order to ensure rehabilitation of disabled people.

Maxim Behar is Board Member of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF), 
its Chairman for two mandates from 2001 to 2007 and also among the founders of the Forum, which works for the social transformation, stimulation of the business sector to develop social change and support of socially important projects in Bulgaria. He contributed to the causes of the ball, personally and through his leading PR agency M3 Communications Group, Inc.
The diplomat also offered to the auction a luxury edition of the Talmud book, a part of his family collection and a special dinner with 7-course menu, prepared by him at his home, as well. The precious book was bought by Mr. Peter Lefterov, CEO of Bulavto AD, while the opportunity for the wonderful dinner was taken by Mr. Victor Gugushev, Partner in Gugushev & Partners Law Office.


The charity initiative of BBLF was really successful for the past 10 years and has been supported by numerous generous givers. Through the time, it gathered almost 300 000 Bulgaria leva for causes as invitro procedures for families in financial need, breast cancer prevention, ensuring proper family conditions, care, and children's scholarships.
