Hristo Stoichkov Congratulates Maxim and Veneta Behar Following Their Space Training in the U.S.

Bulgarian and world football legend Hristo Stoichkov congratulated Maxim Behar and his wife Veneta following their successful completion of specialized space training at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The meeting brought the three together in an atmosphere that allowed them to exchange impressions about Maxim and Veneta Behar’s unusual experience in the United States. The two completed the intensive advanced program and became the first Bulgarians to graduate from it with distinction.

During the meeting, Maxim and Veneta presented Hristo Stoichkov with a special photograph from their space camp in the United States, signed by both of them, as a personal keepsake from one of their most exciting experiences.

Maxim and Veneta Behar shared more with Stoichkov about the training, simulations, and challenges they went through during the program.

The program includes realistic simulations of space missions, work in conditions resembling weightlessness, EVA training, systems operation, and a simulation of a complete mission to Mars.

“It is always a real pleasure to talk with Hristo. Throughout his life, he has shown that with talent, hard work, and tremendous determination, you can overcome any boundaries. For Veneta and me, it was very special to share part of our space adventure with him,” Maxim Behar commented.

“I am always happy when I see Bulgarians achieving great success and bringing recognition to our country. Bulgaria has many talented and ambitious people not only in sports, but also in science, business, technology, and every other field. Maxim and Veneta show that when you set ambitious goals and work hard to achieve them, you can accomplish a great deal,” Hristo Stoichkov commented.

The three had a long conversation about sports, space, major challenges, and the motivation to continuously set new goals. At the end of the meeting, they were joined by two other major names in Bulgarian football, Krasimir Balakov and Daniel Borimirov.

Maxim and Veneta Behar completed the space training with the support of the “Hello, Space!” project of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, which works to promote science, space technologies, and young people’s interest in STEM disciplines.

The meeting concluded with wishes for new successes and the shared message that the achievements of Bulgarians in different fields can serve as a strong example and inspiration for future generations.
